There isn't anything "Thai" about this soup. The real thing is so much easier: just use Thai curry paste instead of all the spices and the lime juice. Use fresh basil instead of cilantro on top and only the green parts of the scallion (Thai people don't use the white part.) Kefir lime leaves and galangal are the taste of Thai, not lime juice and ginger. Much different flavors!! Everything is in the paste already, which also tastes nothing like Indian curry powder.
